NALN was set up to support students progressing to Higher Education, and it is their stories that demonstrate the value of our work. As well as the students featured below, we regularly have student speakers at the NALN Annual Conference as a powerful reminder of the importance of equal access to higher education.

Maria progressed to Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, after leaving home at 16 to be more independent.
Stacey completed her National Diploma in Fashion despite becoming pregnant, and is now studying on the BA Fashion at Leeds College of Art and Design.
Jonathan left school with no qualifications and worked for many years in computer systems, before putting himself through art education in his mid-thirties.
Katiana came to Central Saint Martins through a NALN Progression Agreement, and now works as a student ambassador.
Both Joel and Daniel are from London and met at Barnet College where they undertook a BTEC Diploma and BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design. They are good friends and enjoy living in London.
